Prior to CBS, Bill spent twelve years in hard-news journalism, experience
that gives him a keen familiarity with how hard news events unfold
and why. Bill knows the subtle reasons why, under deadline pressure,
one sound bite is chosen over another, a decision that determines
whether your message is heard or not.
Most recently, Bill completed a documentary film
that will be released by New Line Cinema in 2006. The film is currently
being featured at film festivals and is titled “Who The #$%!
Is Jackson Pollock?”. Bill’s production company, Stable
Images Inc. will also be a valuable asset to Clarity Media’s
production services arm.
Bill is presently an associate producer on a
documentary film entitled “Where’s Molly?” This
film explores the reunion of siblings separated for a lifetime
by antiquated mental health care practices. The story is featured
in the March 2006 issue of Readers Digest . Although the film
is not yet complete, it has already led to the creation of “Molly’s
Bill,”
a constitutional amendment in the State of Oregon that allows family
members to open previously sealed records regarding mental health
patients. The film will most likely lead to the creation of a
national database for bringing separated families back together.
Clarity Media Group welcomes Bill Cassara to the
media training table, not only for his depth of experience but also
for his enthusiasm and energy in helping others hone their messaging
skills.
