Jodi Applegate is an Emmy award-winning television journalist who has anchored at NBC and MSNBC. At NBC, Jodi co-hosted the weekend edition of “Today” and regularly appeared on the weekday edition of “Today.” She was also a principal anchor at MSNBC, and co-host on “Good Day New York” WNYW-TV (Fox5) as well as on WPIX-TV (PIX11). Jodi brings close to 25 years of television experience to Clarity’s clients, helping them go from proficient to polished when dealing with media opportunities and public speaking engagements. Jodi has conducted training sessions for speeches, presentations, industry panels, demo segments, live interviews, and taped, feature pieces. Jodi’s client experience includes corporate executives, magazine editors, celebrity spokespeople, chefs, and authors across industries. Jodi’s training sessions come as close as it gets to the real-life scenario of being a TV guest, whether you’re promoting a new product, discussing a new book or your company’s services. Her most memorable assignments throughout her career to date include: the 9/11 terror attacks; anchoring live from London during the coverage of the death and funeral of Princess Diana; anchoring from Hong Kong at the time of its handover to China; anchoring from Republican and Democratic political conventions in Chicago, Boston and San Diego; as well as from the Olympics in Atlanta. Jodi graduated from New York University with a bachelor’s degree in film and television. She grew up in Pennsylvania and lives with her husband, sportscaster Michael Kay, and their two children.
