Anasuya Sanyal is a former broadcast professional who was an Asia based reporter for Singapore's national broadcaster CNA for a decade. She was the channel's bureau chief based in Bangkok from 2006 to 2014 where she covered major political and economic news in the region. Her coverage highlights included the 2006 Thailand coup, the 2010 anti-government protests and interviews with several regional prime ministers. She has also hosted, written and produced several documentary series regarding issues facing India during the 2014 elections, the crises facing Myanmar's Rohingya people and another Myanmar series covering the country's emergence from isolation in 2010. She has also reported on stories such as the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, the Shangri-La Dialogues, the 2015 Nepal earthquake and was a field reporter for the Southeast Asian Games in 2015. Prior to her role at CNA, she was a production assistant at ABC News in New York City.

She was a speaker coach for 2023’s TEDxTinHauWomen's event. 

Anasuya also has extensive experience in the corporate world as a risk consultant with a global investigations firm. Her focus has remained in Asia and she has worked across offices in Singapore, New Delhi and Hong Kong for global clients which include private equity and pension funds, energy and technology companies, manufacturers and NGOs. She has conducted hundreds of due diligence and business intelligence assignments, looking into whistleblower allegations and conducting investigative interviews. 

Anasuya was born in the US and has studied at Smith College, Dartmouth College and New York University. She speaks three languages and has lived in India, Italy, Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong. She was a board member of the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Thailand and was its president from 2013 to 2014. She lives in Hong Kong with her husband and son.
